There's A WNBA?

So the Detroit Shock took a commanding 2 games to 1 lead over the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Finals. I know, I'm just as surprised as you are. Not that Detroit won, but that there is a WNBA. I never knew there was an all woman's professional basketball league, and apparantly neither did anyone else judging by the almost completely empty stadium. What's even more pathetic is that the coaching staff of Detroit consists of assistant coach Rick Mahorn, and head coach Bill Laimbeer. Yes the same two that were key members of the Pistons back to back title runs in the late eighties and early nineties. Two of the more badder members of the Bad Boys. Now they're relegated to coaching an all woman's professional team. Maybe it's just me, but I would rather coach a high school boys team than a pro woman's team. You can call me sexist, but the fact of the matter is, nobody gives a damn about the WNBA. David Stern should just cut his losses and admit that this league is going nowhere fast. Most of the women are bolting for European leagues where the pay is better and they have a bit more job security. I guess the old saying if fitting here, if a tree falls in the forest, will it make a sound if nobody is around to hear it? If the Detroit Shock win the finals, apparantly their third, will anybody give a damn?

Too bad you didn't actually watch. There was a very large and vocal crowd and it was a great game.

I'd have to say that you embarass yourself when you make stuff up.

Attendance of 12,000 hardly constitutes an empty stadium.
