The Fall Classic
Fall is just around the corner which usually means the start of the NFL season and the MLB playoffs, however it seems no ones seems to care about the latter. Is it just me, or has this been the most uneventful baseball season in years, and yes I know that Barry Bonds broke the all time home run record....ho hum. Here in Los Angeles, both the Dodgers and Angels are in the playoff picture and the only thing people seem to care about is the start of USC football. After the past few dreadful World Series matchups, see Tigers/Cardinals, Astros/White Sox, MLB needs some excitement. As much as Bud Selig tries to downplay the steroids scandal, it seems to be the only thing keeping baseball on the minds of the public. I challenge anyone to build some excitement towards the upcoming playoffs. So if I'm Bud Selig, I can't wait for the next Jose Conseco book to come out. At least it'll get people talking about our national pastime again.
